Growing up in Haiwaii not only was he able to fish with some of the most renown offshore captains but learn lure building techniques from some of the best lure makers in the world. Although he now lives in California, he has grown to be one of the most notable Hawaiian style lure makers in the world. Steve hand pours his lures which are made of clear casting resin and are hand polished to a crystal clear shine. The inserts are made out of mother of pearl, abalone shells or Dichro glass that he hand cuts and shapes into his classic surfboard shape. Because he uses real shells, no two lures are alike!
