Butterfly Peacock Bass was caught in South Florida after days
and days of trying. My friend and I noticed it hanging out
in one area of a local lake. We kept coming back to the spot
but we couldn't catch it. After we gave up we took my nine
foot pond prowler on the lake and it turned up at another
spot. After a few twitches of my hand tied and designed fly,
he nailed it and took off. He towed the boat a little while,
we netted it up, weighed it on a chatillon twelve pound scale,
took a bunch of pictures and released it. This is the biggest
Peacock Bass I've ever caught, and it was on fly!
