Capt. Harry’s Fishing Supply now offers a full service in-house reel repair, reel parts and service center. We are a factory-authorized warranty center for Penn, Shimano and Daiwa reels. We provide reel reconditioning, reel repair, complete parts and service, and repair of all products under factory warranty. We also specialize in repair of Downriggers and Electric Reel Systems.

Whether you are gearing up for the season or are getting ready to fish a tournament, Capt. Harry’s Fishing Supply can provide you with our reel "overhaul service". Our reel repair Guru, Geno, will completely disassemble the reel, place all the parts in our ultrasound machine (this process eliminates dirt, salt, corrosion and rust), and reassemble the reel with the proper lubrication.

If Geno notices that your drags or bearings are worn or other parts need replacement, he will contact you and you can decide if you would like the parts replaced. We can repair any reel from a 4200SS to a 130ST and our prices range from $16.00 to $60.00.

NOTE: WE HAVE 90% OF REPLACEMENT PARTS IN STOCK! To get more information on the exact replacement part(s) you may need, click on the links below:

Reel Maintenance Tips
--After use, always loosen the drag, rinse with a light spray of fresh water, wipe with a clean cloth lubricated with 3 in 1 oil and store in a weather-protected area.

--If you prefer to do your own maintenance, be sure to grease the gears and oil the springs (do not put grease on the springs).

--If your reel is immersed in saltwater, immediately send it to us (or another authorized dealer) for cleaning. If you wait too long, the parts will corrode and you will need to replace them.

--If you are unsure of what you are doing, do not disassemble the reel completely. It is easier to fix an assembled reel versus a disassembled reel.

To speak directly with Geno, please call at (800) 327-4088 ext. 257. He is usually working on reels, so please do not be offended if you need to leave a voice mail message. He will return your call as soon as he can.
